Dr. Reddy received PhD degree from Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad in 2013. During his PhD research, Reddy worked under guidance of Prof. Sreenivas Jayanti (IIT Madras) and Dr. Dayadeep S Monder (IIT Hyderabad) on thesis “Thermal management studies for a high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack”. Reddy graduated from the National Institute of Technology Rourkela with Master of Technology in Chemical Engineering.
During his school studies he received a “Muthi Lingaji Memorial Award”, which is regularly awarded to best students of the ZPH School. During his studies he actively participated and various positions held as a Maintenance Secretary of C. V. Raman Hall of Residence, as an Organizing Committee Member of ChEmference-09, as an Executive Council Member of NIT Rourkela Alumni Association and as a Website Designer of Chemical Engineering department (IIT Hyderabad) and Krishna Hostel (IIT Madras).
In September 2013 he joined the HySA Systems, SAIAMC (South African Institute for Advanced Materials Chemistry), University of the Western Cape as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to continue and expand his research.
Dr. Reddy’s current work focuses on the assembling and testing high temperature proton exchange membrane fuel cell stack for CHP and Hybrid Hydrogen Fuel Cell Vehicles, in-depth characterization of the fuel cell stack system and specific sub-units, characterizing sub-units and components for their integration into modular systems, to be extensively involved in the bench-top integration of the FC module and sub-units and testing of the integrated power module for stationary and mobile applications.
